HOW TO UPDATE YOUR BEDROOM ON A BUDGET

Welcome Back!

Last week I showed my plan for updating my bedroom.  I made a decision on the wall colour – AF100 – Pashmina Benjamin Moore – it is a great “Greige”,  and it will provide the warm that I am aiming for.

Our feature wall is done !  A few pictures showing the different steps.  This is such an inexpensive project, but it adds so much character to a room as well an amazing feature wall…

1st. We measure the length and height of the wall and calculated how many columns we would be able to have.  Figuring out the right columns took longer than the actual setting up  the mouldings…  they always say measure twice so you cut only once, so that is what we did.  At the end, the main wall called for  5 vertical columns.

2nd. The inspiration picture had squares, and for my room I wanted to create rectangles so I split the height of the room on 4.  Rectangles elongates the room and that is what I was going for…

3rd. The last set after the window is a little bit off – but it doesn’t matter as the curtains will cover a good portion of it. Here is the final !

I found a night table inspiration.. What do you think ?  Do you like it!  The trick is now to find a night table similar on a budget…. let you know what I was able to find….

It has been a very busy week with the Interior Design Show and The Toronto Gift Fair – I posted some of my highlig’hts on my Facebook page.  I missed Ikea this year – they always have amazing rooms – last year the kitchens that they created were gorgeous.

Cheers,
